North East Nipples (NEN) is a not-for-profit project co-founded by Amanda Patterson and Megan Jones, providing free specialist areola tattooing to people in the North East who are unable to access NHS provision or who cannot afford private treatment. WHAT IS NORTH EAST NIPPLES?
North East Nipples is a community interest project run by Amanda Jo Patterson and co-director Megan Jones. It exists because access to specialist areola tattooing is not equal - NHS provision varies by trust, waiting lists can be long, and private treatment isn't affordable for everyone.
NEN exists to close that gap in the North East. It provides free areola tattooing to eligible clients, carried out to the same standard as Amanda's private work.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR FREE AREOLA TATTOOING THROUGH NEN?
NEN supports people who:
• Have had a mastectomy or breast surgery and want areola restoration
• Are unable to access NHS areola tattooing or are on a long waiting list
• Cannot afford private treatment
• Are based in the North East of England
Eligibility is assessed on an individual basis. If you're not sure whether you qualify, please get in touch - Amanda and Megan would always rather hear from you than have you assume you're not eligible.
