Is areola tattooing painful?
Most clients are pleasantly surprised. Numbing cream can be applied before treatment, and Amanda works at a pace that keeps you comfortable throughout. Sensitivity varies, if you have reduced sensation from surgery, the treatment can actually be less uncomfortable than you might expect.
How long does areola tattooing take to heal?
Full healing takes six to eight weeks. During this time the colour will appear darker than the final result, this is normal. The pigment softens and settles as the skin heals. Amanda provides full aftercare guidance and is available to answer questions during your healing period.
Do I need a more than one appointment?
Yes, almost always. Multiple session are needed depending on desired result, after around eight weeks allows Amanda to refine colour and detail once the skin has fully settled. This is a normal part of the process and is built into the treatment plan from the start.
How long does an areola tattoo last?
Areola tattoos typically last several years. Most clients return for a colour refresh every three to five years. Sun exposure, skin type and aftercare all affect longevity. Amanda will advise you on how to get the most from your result.
What do the results look like?
Amanda's results are defined by 3D realism — using shading, colour and tone to create genuine depth and a natural appearance. Results vary between clients depending on skin type, scarring and healing, and Amanda will always be honest with you about what's achievable in your individual case.
Who is not suitable for areola tattooing?

Can areola tattooing be done on scarred skin?
