MIRRORED SOULS
Mirrored Souls is a collection born from the freedom of letting go.
This piece explores the female form without asking it to be perfect, polished or defined. The figure is reduced to the torso and body, removing the face and identity and leaving only the shape of the human form.
Colour is layered freely across the canvas, with no fixed intention and no rules about where it should sit. Brushstrokes are expressive, instinctive and deliberately unconstrained.
For me, this painting is about stepping away from the constant expectation of how things should be — how a body should look, how art should look, how colour should behave, how we should create.
It is about allowing the brush to move without permission.
A reminder that beauty doesn’t always live in perfection or control. Sometimes it lives in the freedom to simply make marks and see what happens.
